Just a picture that's not great compositionally, but that for some reason triggered so much in me.

This area was home for a very long time. Looking at it struck something funny in me. It reminded me of a time when spring opened up so much before my mind and when my whole soul seemed free and welcomed everything, when I looked up at the sky and breath invaded straight through to my core. All of it travelled freely in uncrowded space.

I really liked the dreamy quality to the colours.

It makes me wonder what a person looking out from the window might be thinking, not able to go out.

Sometimes I wonder why I like windows so much. Just look at that! Especially the bottom half...layers and layers of history!

All this time...walking around all over Kensington and I didn't notice this until the day I went on this photo jaunt. She just watches over it all.

There's something really sad about it.

it's falling apart

The more I walked around, the more I took a liking to the texture of decay.

As you can see, I was obsessed with this corner. The more I looked at it, the more detail I saw. Please bear with me as I indulge.

I love the macro lens. Unfortunately, because I don't own it, I have no clue which one I used exactly except that it was a Sigma.

It's really remarkable what you see up close. Texture and colour. Illuminating detail.
